    A commitment to the freedom and the development of Sub-Saharan Africa

    This essay focuses on the institutional perspective of development and the importance of institutions and economic and political organization in the development of sub-Saharan African countries. From a wide range of development indicators, freedom, governance and entrepreneurial environment, the essay identifies the differences between the most backward countries and the most advanced in the region, as well as the main obstacles facing their companies to follow process of accumulation and innovation, the key to human development.

    This research won the First Essay Prize Casa África (Editorial Catarata ISBN: 978-84-8319-446-1).
